FAQ
Frequently asked questions.
If your question is not answered below, please contact us and a member of our team will respond.
Am I eligible to make a claim?
Eligibility depends on your route, the operating airline, the length of the delay and the cause of the disruption. Passenger-rights laws, rules and regulations may entitle you to compensation for significant delays and short-notice cancellations, a refund, compensation for denied boarding, or reimbursement for lost, delayed or damaged baggage. Once you submit your details, we will assess your claim free of charge and advise you whether it should be pursued.
Which documents do I need?
Your booking confirmation or e-ticket is the most important document. Boarding passes, any correspondence from the airline regarding the disruption, receipts for additional expenses and, for baggage claims, the Property Irregularity Report (PIR) issued at the airport are also helpful, as are photographs of any damage. If you do not have every document, please upload what you have; we will request anything further that is required.
What are your fees?
There is no upfront charge, and no fee is payable if your claim is unsuccessful. If we recover compensation on your behalf, our fee is 30% of the amount recovered (plus any applicable tax). The fee is confirmed in writing before we proceed.
How long does the process take?
Some airlines settle well-documented claims within a few weeks. Others initially reject claims and settle only after escalation, which may take several months. We will keep you informed at each stage and advise you of the expected next steps.
Can I track the progress of my claim?
Yes. After submitting your claim, you will receive a claim reference by email. Enter this reference together with your email address on the Track a Claim page to view the current status of your claim and its full history.
What happens if the airline rejects my claim?
Airlines frequently reject claims on the grounds of 'extraordinary circumstances', such as adverse weather. We review whether the stated reason is valid. Where it is not, we will challenge the decision and, where appropriate, escalate the matter to the relevant regulator, an alternative dispute resolution body or a legal partner, at no additional cost to you.
How long after my flight can I submit a claim?
For delays and cancellations, the time limit is often several years, depending on the jurisdiction. Baggage claims are subject to much shorter deadlines: damage must usually be reported to the airline within 7 days, and delayed baggage within 21 days of receipt. If your baggage was affected, please notify the airline immediately and then submit your claim with us.
Should I accept vouchers offered by the airline?
We recommend caution. In some cases, accepting a voucher may be treated as settlement of your claim. If you have not yet accepted an offer, please let us know what was offered before making a decision.
Can you handle claims for my family or travel group?
Yes. Each passenger is generally entitled to compensation individually, including children with their own seat. Please indicate the number of additional passengers in your claim, and we will contact you for their details.
How is my personal data used?
Your information is used solely to pursue your claim and is shared only with the airline and any parties necessary to resolve it. Documents are held in secure, encrypted storage and are deleted once they are no longer required. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for full details.
